Rand Paul's Baylor Escapades Ignite Churchiness Battle

Instructive to see how a machine pol can only respond with boring, antediluvian smears when confronted with an opponent who actually believes in something more than the preservation of a career.

• Thead was dumb as hell, but so are both candidates. Paul is a charletan who would let companies pay workers 2 bucks an hour, because god forbid people be payed a living wage.

• Can't Conway just discuss ideas to reduce an out of control federal deficit and how we can become more econonomically solvent? The answer is no and that's why he has gone to the gutter.

• Baylor's NoZe Brotherhood is a humor, practical joke, and politically incorrect (campus politics) fraternity that publishes an alternative campus newspaper. It has often been on the Baylor administration's shit list. Even though well known to be members, the members swear an oath never to admit membership to a non-member.

• I think that when Conway says "secret society that was banned at Baylor", it sounds much worse than it is. Hell, Baylor banned a lot of things in those days - booze, dancing, posing for Playboy, and almost anything that was fun. And the "secret society" was in fact secret, but their activities did not rise to the level of a typical fraternity house on any campus in Texas. While Rand Paul has his faults, this ad is way overblown. I guess Baylor is like A&M, you have to live in Texas to really understand.
