Life just got better
You, like all people, just LOVE Foursquare, the web application that lets you keep up with where people you don't care about are at any given moment.

Because if you don't know that someone has earned enough points to be "Mayor of Lupe Tortilla's" or some such crap, your life will be incomplete.

Great news for you, then: People are now Foursquaring from space!

Space Station commander Doug Wheelock checked into his Foursquare and found this message: "You are now 220 miles above Earth traveling at 17,500 mph and
unlocked the NASA Explorer Badge! Show this badge and get a free
scoop of astronaut ice cream."

Move over, "The Eagle has landed" ! Sayonara, "Houston, we have a problem." NASA now has a new quote for the ages.

NASA is partnering with Foursquare to connect its users to the space agencyzzzzzzzz yadda yadda social media yadda internet Twitter Facebook.

"NASA's work ranges from proving flight technologies to exploring the universe," said NASA spokesman Bob Jacobs. "Partnering with Foursquare allows NASA to connect directly with the people who visit our locations and share with them the interesting things that happen at each place."

And wow man, like check out what the Foursquare co-founder had to say, dude: "Check-ins from around the world have been cool, but this blew my mind!" said Dennis Crowley. "We're psyched to partner with NASA to help users explore the space program and the universe."

Then we, officially, are psyched too.
