Stephen Colbert Testifies In Front Of Sheila Jackson Lee And Ted Poe

• We have a border for a reason.

• People look at migrant farm workers, many of them illegal, and refuse to see the humanity. As if being in a country illegally takes away peoples humanity. Those who harp on illegal workers in this country refuse too see these workers as people who need to be kicked out. Nuance is absent and the whole discussion goes to trash with people hurling insults, sarcasm, and mean spiritedness.

• Colbert actually pronounces his name with the T it's only when he's in character that he pronounces without because, you know, it's more pretentious that way.

• This is more comedic than congress changing their french fries to freedom fires. or not.

• Hell, the democratic congress is a joke - why not add one more comedian? I wonder if his ego is as inflated as Sheila's. Could be the question for the ages.

• Do not know if this testimony solve the problem. I think things are more complicated and will be debates on this topic.

• Love Steven Colbert and what he does. Isn't is sad that SJL was once again texting while someone else was speaking? Guess it was better than talking to someone on the phone like she does back here with her constituency....

• I see satire is lost on some people. But he did make a good point on how hard the work is and how little pay they receive. Its back-breaking work.
