The Jonas Brothers, the biggest trio of musical talent since the Jimi Hendrix Experience or Tony Orlando and Dawn (there were only two Dawns, right?) are finally hitting the big time -- League City.

Depending on your point of view, it's either a good or bad thing that they're not singing. (We've heard worse Disney-type bands, fwiw.)

The city announced that the Brothers' charity softball team is coming to town to raise awareness about teens texting while driving.

Does the Jonas Brothers' demographic include kids who can drive? Apparently so.

"It is really important that our fans understand just how dangerous texting while driving is," Kevin Jonas said in the city's announcement. "Pledging not to text and drive is a promise to your friends, your family and yourself to keep your eyes on the road and your hands on the wheel."

Tickets are free, on a first-come, first-served basis (limit of six apiece) at the Big League Dreams Sports Park.

The game is Saturday at 12"30 p.m.
