Five years ago, the traffic jam of all Houston traffic jams was starting to build. If you were in it, you know what we mean.
Just weeks after Katrina, Hurricane Rita was in the Gulf as a Cat 5 and seemingly headed for Houston. Panic set in, the roads weren't ready to handle it, and some of the city's most annoying hours ever (besides Jimy Williams-era Astro games) ensued.
We're looking for your tales of what you went through with Rita. Best one gets a $50 gift card from Kim Son, second-best gets a $25 gift card from the Yard House. Judging will be entirely arbitrary, and the deadline is noon tomorrow.
