Andre Sloan: Sheriff's Office Says It's Cracked 20-Year-Old Murder Case
Finding Sloan, 48, won't be too difficult: He's currently serving a life sentence in TDCJ for a 1992 Houston-area triple shooting.
He's now charged with the death of Wistong Potes, who was shot during a break-in in which Potes' wife was also sexually assaulted.
Tamara Potes was shot in the head after the assault, but survived. A year later she was killed in a drive-by shooting.
HCSO investigators took some items from the 1990 crime scene and had them analyzed for the presence of DNA. They found a match with Sloan, the office said.
The Potes killing also involved other suspects who broke into the house. HCSO is asking for anyone with knowledge of their whereabouts to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS
