Two dead from an alleged drunk driver
Intoxication manslaughter charges have been filed against a driver who ran a stop sign on Almeda Genoa and killed two people, Houston police said.

Few details were available, but police say a suspected drunk driver ran through a stop sign about 11:45 p.m. Saturday in the 800 block of Almeda Genoa and slammed into a green Pontiac, killing the driver and a passenger.

The intersection was at Almeda Genoa and Regal Oaks.

The suspect was driving a Dodge pickup and was taken to the hospital with minor injuries, police said.
