No Gandolfini, alas
The Alley Theatre announced today the final play in the line-up for the upcoming season, and it's God of Carnage, a recent Broadway hit.

Written by Yasmina Reza, who wrote Art, Carnage won a Best Play Tony in 2009 and played to packed crowds with a cast featuring James Gandolfini and Jeff Daniels.

It's destined to become a staple for regional theaters, as it offers four meaty roles -- two upper-class, intellectual couples who meet to discuss a fight between their kids. Things start out restrained and devolve from there.

The play will join what looks to be a pretty interesting season, with A Behanding in Spokane, August: Osage County and Pygmalion, among others.

Carnage will be a co-production with Seattle's Repertory Theatre and will run January 7-30 on the Hubbard Stage.
