Another dangerous Crystal

​Some time back we put forth the hypothesis that Crystal was the female equivalent of "Wayne" - the male criminal's favorite name.

And as with Wayne-related mayhem, it's not just the quantity of Crystal-line mayhem, it's the quality. Of course, by "quality" we at Hair Balls mean craziness, viciousness and at times, even heinousness, as in the case of accused child molester Crystal Polanco, whose alleged crimes came to light after our round-up linked above.

Crystal Lynn Elliott of College Station -- our most recent addition to the Crystal Crime Chronicles -- would seem to be more the merely crazy type. The 31-year-old stands accused of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after 30-year-old live-in boyfriend Brennen Elliott told police she tried to run him over in their carport in a drunken rage.

​Neighbors on their peaceful-looking suburban street of sprawling lots and tidy ranch houses called police shortly after the Elliots' verbal dispute went motorized. Brennen Elliott told police that Crystal chased him into the carport, where she attempted to run him over repeatedly, reversing and accelerating again and again as he dipped and dodged. Crystal is said to have damaged a wall and several support beams, though nobody was injured. (While she has denied Brennen's version of events, a witness corroborated his story to police.)

By the time police arrived, Crystal had left the scene on foot. She was found a couple of blocks away, carrying a child believed to be two or three years old. Authorities did not say to whom the child belonged.

The provenance of the shiner in Crystal Elliott's mugshot is unknown.

Both Brennen and Crystal Elliott have fairly long rap sheets. Brennen's includes two convictions for assault-family violence, while Crystal's includes one charge of assault bodily injury (family).

Aggravated assault with a deadly weapon -- Crystal Elliott's current charge -- is a second-degree felony punishable by two to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000.
