A man still on the run has been charged with murder in the stabbing death of a westside man a week ago.
A stabbing on the west side
Jose Domingo Sanchez, 30, is charged in the death of Cesar Hernandez, no age given. Hernandez suffered multiple stab wounds and was pronounced dead at Memorial Hermann Southwest hospital after the May 31 incident.
Police responded to an assault call in the 7500 block of South Gessner around 10:15 p.m. that night, and when they got there they found Hernandez lying in the apartment complex's parking lot. Sanchez had fled the scene.
