Shoot-out in broad daylight at the Marq-E

​A drug deal gone bad in the parking lot of the Marq-E entertainment complex resulted in the death of a 21-year-old man.

Houston police say Ronald Keith Foreman and Glenn Earl Hickman, 26, "met with two male suspects in the parking lot of the Marq-E Entertainment Center on the Katy Freeway service road to conduct a drug transaction," police said. "During the course of the transaction,
shots were fired and both Foreman and Hickman were struck multiple times."

Both were taken to Ben Taub; Foreman was pronounced dead but Hickman is in stable condition.

The incident happened at about 5 p.m. Wednesday, not exactly the time you'd expect a shootout in the Marq-E lot (if, that is, you ever do.)


"Further investigation," police said, "led to a vehicle that contained possible suspects involved in the shooting. That vehicle was stopped and seven people were detained for questioning."

That's one crowded vehicle.

No charges have been filed in the incident.
