An arrest has been made in the shooting death of Robert Butler, who was ambushed in northeast Houston as he was parking a tractor-trailer.

The suspect, Diamond Markee Godfrey, 18), is charged with capital murder in the 338th State District Court.  Godfrey was arrested today by Louisiana State Police in Ville Platte, Louisiana, and is awaiting extradition back to Texas.

Another suspect is still on the loose, police say. Damian Mann, 19, pictured to the right, has not been charged in connection with the incident.

Butler, who was shot in the face in the 5400 block of Bennington, was in critical condition at Ben Taub Hospital after the May 2 attack but did not survive.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Damion Mann is urged to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
