Pastors Warn Houstonians: Ladies, Get Ready For All Those Men In Your Restrooms

An "inter-racial, inter-denominational" coalition of Houston-area pastors is sounding the alarm that Houston women will soon be facing a barrage of penises in their public restrooms.

The culprit, of course, is Mayor Annise Parker, who they say they just knew would do this kind of thing, and didn't take long doing it.

Parker issued an executive order last week that she said simply stated what has been the policy for a while now -- no discrimination "based on sexual orientation, a person's gender identity and gender expression."

The sharp-eyed, if not open-minded, pastors at the Houston Area Pastor Council. Executive director Dave Welch has sent out an announcement headlined 'Houston Mayor Launches Attack on Decency -- Houston clergy stand together in defense of womens protection and family values."

How are women harmed by Parker's order? HAPC has the answer.

Forcing women in particular using city facilities to be subjected to cross-dressing men invading their privacy is beyond the pale and offensive to every standard of decency, said Pastor Steve Riggle, senior pastor of Grace Community church and an Executive Committee member of HAPC.

Welch says they expected this kind of thing from Parker, and were not taken in by her smooth election talk, because after all she is a lesbian, and thus apparently the spawn of Beelzebub.

"We are appalled but not surprised that this mayor has so early in her administration proven that we were right in asserting before the election that her sexual preference is central to her public policy," Welch says. "Her reprehensible actions to open womens restrooms to men make our case and expose her pre-election denials as fraudulent."

Our take-away from all this: Any of you guys out there with a fetish for watching women use the bathroom, come to Houston, slap on a wig or some nice pumps and you're good to go. Piss on a crucifix while you're at it. And be sure to sport your "Annise for Mayor!" button.

Sometimes dads can't take their 10 year old daughters to the men's restrooms, so they let them go in the women's restrooms by themselves. All it takes is one victim... You can bash the person who stands up for what they think is right, but are you going to stand up for the parents who loses their daughter or son to some child predator... Are we so numb that we can't see the potential for what might happen...all it takes it ONE victim...will you stand up to the victims parents and say...I totally supported this...
The argument that any man saying that they "identify as a woman" in order to gain access to the women's restroom is completely ridiculous! Any person who is NOT 'presenting'(dressed as female)as a woman would still be subject to being arrested if they entered a women's bathroom. I am a male-to-female Transsexual and 'I' certainly do NOT want men to be in the women's restroom any more than any other woman does! If you think that Transgender people who identify as female currently use the men's room while dressed as women -- guess again! They would not only make the MEN uncomfortable if they were in the men's restroom but they would be more likely to be assulted. It is NOT safe for Transgender male-to-female people to use the men's restroom. There has NEVER been a recorded case where someone who was Transgendered has ever been arrested for doing some kind of "deviant behaviour" to any naturally born woman while in the women's rest room. The fact that the "Houston Area Pastor Council" tries to use this argument to fool people into believing that "men" will be in the ladies restroom is pure and outright bigotry and they should EDUCATE themselves on the issue!
Look people, don't you get it? The author, who sees attacks against the GLBT community behind every corner, obviously doesn't. The problem isn't with a transgendered man who identifies with being a woman. The problem is the pervert who all he has to do is SAY he identifies with being a woman can now go into the ladies' bathroom. There is no test that has to be passed. You just have to say that at that particular moment you identify with being a woman and you can go in. You can change your mind later after you come out. NO WIGS OR PUMPS REQUIRED! And let's not forget all of those women-loving heterosexuals who also like to cross-dress. They also would have free access to the women's bathroom. This is not an attack on the GLBT community. This is a reaction against opening the door so broadly for members of the GLBT community that perverts are allowed in. As the Mayor has said, all this does is formalize existing practice. If it's already existing practice, then why did it need to be "fixed"? If no member of the GLBT community is being denied their wishes (I won't say discriminated against because they're not members of a protected class), then why does there have to be a blanket policy instead of a case by case policy? The Mayor needs to rescind this NOW!

It's very difficult to believe that getting men into women's bathrooms is part of the lesbian agenda.
She is not forcing women to do anything. She is simply putting in writing what is already in practice. I am a woman and I don't have an issue with it. Who would want to go into a womans bathroom anyway. It's not like they will see anything since there are only stalls. Woman dont walk around the bathroom with their vagina hanging out and if a transgendered person were in the bathroom with me I'm sure they would NOT be interested. How ridiculous! All these false prophets aka pastors should worry more about saving their own soul instead of being prejudice, judgemental and promoting hate. Real christians don't do that!!!!!!
The real outrage should be that our big government is wasting tax dollars on bathrooms when perfectly usable private bathrooms are available.
This is a new conservative tactic. I've heard it on some talk shows and on some TV reports. Is there some secret email list that passes around the monthly talking points for conservatives so they can all stay on point?
I keep forgetting - is the men's room on a 737 the one on the right or the left?
