Melissa Trujillo, 18, Bayou Body Count No. 38
Early Tuesday morning, domestic violence reared it blood-stained head once more, and yet again, someone's child was involved.
Harris County Sheriff's investigators say that 22-year-old Noe Moreno-Mares, who lived at the Windfern Trails Apartments at 13035 Windfern in northwest Harris County, drove over to his family's home near Hockley with his 3-month-old baby and said he had gotten into a fight with his baby's mother, Melissa Trujillo.
He said that Trujillo, 18, was not responsive when he left their apartment.
Moreno-Mares then gave his keys to his family and left with an unknown person, authorities say. When Moreno-Mares' relatives got to the apartment, they found the teenager was dead.
The sheriff's office has issued an arrest warrant out for Moreno-Mares charging him with murder. Investigators fear that Moreno-Mares, a citizen of Mexico, may be trying to escape back home.
At least no one's kid got killed.
