Couple that with the fact that all Venom wanted in life was to kill Spiderman and you have all the drama you need. Also, if done right, a Venom spin-off would have been guaranteed. And Sandman wasn't the misunderstood Villain/Good guy hybrid...he's was 100% evil and wasn't even exclusive to Spiderman. He later became super smart and went after the Hulk and the FF. They blew it...Spiderman 3 could have as good as the first two.

We saw Peter in high school in Spiderman 1 and now they want us to watch a movie, entirely surrounding him in school, AND, they want to change the character to a new cast member. Dumb. Sony is dropping the ball and now they have no competition for Batman and Superman, great job. If Sony was smart, they would simply age Spiderman a bit so that a change of character would make sense. Peter was young in the first three, age him a bit and change the cast member, but PLEASE, do not reboot this series, that�s the worse idea EVER!
