Unidentified Male, 17: Bayou Body Count No. 8

​Houston can be a dangerous city. You can get shot just walking down the street.

On Saturday afternoon, two guys, ages 21 and 17, were ambling down the sidewalk at 9000 Long Point Road in northwest Houston when suddenly a pair of men sidled up next to them and starting shooting, police say.

As the gunmen ran away, the younger victim was able to hobble down the road, where he flagged down a cop. Both shooting victims, whose identities have not yet been released, were scuttled off to the hospital, where the 21-year-old was pronounced dead. The younger man was in stable condition, police say.

Police are looking for the two shooters, described only as Hispanic men. Investigators believe that they jumped into a 1998 silver GMC pickup truck with Texas plates AD6-0167 that was waiting for them.
