There's Hope Yet For The Former Teas Nursery In Bellaire

When the historic Teas Nursery in Bellaire put its property up for sale earlier this year, the plan was to build single-family homes on the five acres.

For "single-family homes," read "McMansions," of which Bellaire has an absolute glut.

But now comes word via Swamplot that all may not be lost.

The site says it's received a press release from a "private Bellaire foundation run by two brothers has snapped up the remaining 5 acres of Teas Nursery at 4400 Bellaire Blvd."

Jerry and Maury "Bo" Rubenstein did not announce any specific plans, but they did say, according to Swamplot, that they hope the property "could be retained for the benefit of all Bellaire residents."

Sounds good to us.
