No one likes being punished for something they didn't do. Even more so when the punishment is a series of deadly bullet wounds. But that's exactly what happened to Quincey Taylor, Houston police say.

A little more than three months ago, police got a call about a shooting that was happening at the Hollow Park Apartments at 2550 Joel Wheaton Road. When officers arrived, they found Taylor, 18, in a nearby grassy area. He had been shot to death several times.

Detectives began investigating and later learned that the apartment of a man named Kenneth Glass Jr. had been burglarized shortly before the shooting. Glass was pissed, police say, and wanted revenge.

On July 24, Taylor was walking through the apartment complex when suddenly a hail of gunfire came down upon him. The shooter, police say, was Glass, who thought Taylor had robbed him.

Houston police announced today that Glass has been charged with murder. He is currently in jail in Brazoria County on unrelated charges, police say.

Police do not believe that Taylor was the man who burglarized Glass and that his death was the case of mistaken identity.

On Friday, Rodrick Dow also made a mistake. He tried to break into the wrong home, and paid for it with his life.

Police say that Dow, 48, was screaming and yelling in front of a home at 8506 Curry at about 1:20 a.m. when he forced his way through a screen door that was locked. The 75-year-old man who lived there became terrified and, fearing for his life, grabbed a knife and stabbed Dow to death, police say.

The case will be sent to a Harris County grand jury to determine if the homeowner should be charged with a crime.

Baltazar Quezada and his family had returned to their home at 12411 Centre Court Sunday evening and were on the front lawn when they saw a stranger walking toward them. The man and Quezada, 45, began arguing when the man yanked out a gun and shot Quezada, police say. The man then ran away. Police are investigating.

It was another case of the knock-and-kill.

Iveth Munoz was in her apartment at 16000 Cotillion on Friday afternoon when an unknown man knocked on her door. Munoz, 28, opened up but then immediately tried to shut the door. But to no avail. Police say the man forced his way into the apartment.

Several hours later, police say, a neighbor stopped by Munoz's place to say hello and found Munoz had been killed. Investigators are trying to find the killer.

"He had been shot to death several times"

Hmmm, perhaps if Quincey Taylor was a cat and used up several of his nine lives that would be possible but other than that remote possibility, I don't think so.
