John Culberson Mans The Barricades For Michael Savage
What's Savage's radio show about? When he's not making jokes about liberal women being raped, he's offering analysis like this about autism:
Now, the illness du jour is autism. You know what autism is? I'll tell you what autism is. In 99 percent of the cases, it's a brat who hasn't been told to cut the act out. That's what autism is. What do you mean they scream and they're silent? They don't have a father around to tell them, "Don't act like a moron. You'll get nowhere in life. Stop acting like a putz. Straighten up. Act like a man. Don't sit there crying and screaming, idiotWhich is apparently music to the ears of John Culberson, because it's been a Culberson-Savage lovefest this week on the show.
England has banned Savage from entering the country because, they claim, he fosters hate.
Culberson has written a letter to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton urging her to fight the ban.
"Michael Savage is a loyal American, and he is passionate about protecting America, which is why I enjoy listening to him," Culberson writes. He also mentions, for some reason, how Savage, a botanist born with the name of Michael Weiner, has important plants in the U.K.
We're all for free speech, and rather than banning them we'd rather let idiots paint themselves as idiots by letting them spout their inanities.
But we're not sure we'd put defending a guy like Michael Savage anywhere on our priority list.
Well done, John Culberson.
