Cecil Cooper Out As Astros' Manager

The Houston Astros are holding a press conference at 4:00 p.m. to announce that manager Cecil Cooper has been fired. It is being speculated that his replacement for the remainder of this season is third base coach Dave Clark.
The Astros have lost seven straight games, and the team has looked as listless as Carlos Lee attempting to field a ball in left field. Clark's primary qualification for the job is that he appears to be as incompetent as a third-base coach as Cecil Cooper was as a bench coach.
And believe it or not, despite the team's sucky play of late, the season actually isn't over. So I'm guessing this is a drastic measure by Drayton McLane to make sure that people show up to the games this week.
