Judge Sam Kent Beats The Rap!!!

Judge Samuel Kent will not be impeached, the Senate decided today.

What?!

Their lame reasoning: He's already resigned, so he therefore has forfeited the financial benefits he'd lose with the impeachment. As CQ reports:

The Senate today met as a court of impeachment to dismiss four articles of impeachment against former U.S. District Judge Samuel B. Kent.

The House managers asked the Senate to drop the matter, because Kent has resigned his judgeship.

But...but...we wanted to see him squirm!!

He'll also get to live without the tag "impeached judge" attached to his name. We guess we'll just have to settle for "judge forced to resign because he was a bullying pig."

Just doesn't have the same juice.
