Bayou Body Count: Absolute Nightmare For Some Kids

Houston police say both parents had gunshot wounds. They were pronounced dead at the scene.
The children told police that their parents had been arguing earlier in the day. A single pistol was found by their bodies.
Police are continuing to investigate.

Johnnie Florez was lying dead in his driveway when the Harris County
Sheriff's deputies pulled up to his home shortly after 3:30 a.m. this
morning. Neighbors of the 44-year-old Florez, who lived on the 13400
block of Bafing near Alief, called the cops after hearing several
gunshots ring out into the predawn sky.
So far, investigators don't have many leads. Witnesses told them that they saw a dark blue or possibly black passenger car speed away from the scene, but were unable to describe the driver.

At around 10:30 in the morning Tuesday, a woman ran into the HPD Stringfellow Southeast police station saying she knew about a kidnapping and that someone had possibly been murdered. Then she gave officers the address of an apartment building at 14001 Fondren, room No. 632.
Officers quickly lit out for the home. When they arrived, they found the body of a woman who had been shot several times, at least once in the head. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Police are investigating.

Also Tuesday, Houston police began probing into the death of a man at 6363 West Airport Boulevard. The 31-year-old casualty was found shot in the chest.
Police say the victim was in an argument with a man at an apartment complex. The man left, only to return again when witnesses told police that gunshots were fired in the parking lot. The suspect then fled, but is being pursued by police.
Anyone with information concerning these investigation is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
