Categories: Courts, Crime
A grand jury has indicted the Bellaire cop who shot Robert Tolan, the son of baseball player Bobby Tolan, in his driveway last year.

Sgt. Jeffrey Cotton was indicted on a charge of Aggravated Assault by a Public Servant, a first-degree felony whose conviction carries a punishment of not less than five years' prison and a maximum of life, the DAs office announced.

Tolan's family and legal reps are having a noon press conference; we'll let you know what they say.
