Speaking of leaders in the clubhouse, by the way, several folks have pointed out that editor Jeff Cohen had a morning tee time in the pro-am round of the Shell Houston Open today. (Number 10 tee, here.)

Current Chron people: If you write about it, remember to keep it under 15 inches. As a memo from Cohen to the survivors pointed out last week, "Reporters and assigning editors will agree on target lengths for every story and include them on the budget. Because we continue to be respectful of our readers' time, anything longer than 15 inches needs to be discussed with the lead editor for the section."
