ManKind Project Not Living Up To Its Promises, Says The Mom Who Sued Them

It's starting to seem as though the ManKind Project Houston, which settled a wrongful death lawsuit against it in June for allegedly traumatizing a man at an orientation weekend just before he killed himself, has not implemented the changes it legally promised to.That was the news as told by Dr. Warren Throckmorton, an Associate Professor of Psychology and Fellow for Psychology and Public Policy at Grove City (PA) College, who blogs about the ManKind Project.
Kathy Scinto, whose son Michael Scinto claimed his own life, confirmed the suspicion to Hair Balls.
Among several changes, "They were supposed to have changed their website," says Kathy Scinto. "They didn't do anything. And the sad thing is I knew they wouldn't do anything. I cried that day we [settled in mediation] because I knew they wouldn't do it. They're just B.S-ing."
The ManKind Project Houston has not yet responded to a call from Hair Balls. We'll let you know if they do.
Meanwhile, Scinto says she is contemplating her next move.
"My son is dead because of theses guys," she says, "and I've got to keep on remembering that. And I've got to say, 'What am I going to do, all of a sudden let it go?' Everything I've worked so hard for, nothing's been done."
