Layoffs At Clear Channel

Sneakily timing things to get overshadowed by the Inauguration, media giant Clear Channel is implementing what are expected to be big layoffs at its many radio stations across the country.
A tipster tells us the ax has started falling in Houston, where 15 people have reportedly been let go, and there's talk of guards escorting them out of the building.
We don't know if that includes any big names; we'll let you know if we find out.
Update: The cuts have hit hard in the sales department locally, we hear, although there are rumors that perhaps two in KTRH's newsroom, already a shadow of its former self, are gone.
