Yay! Houston's KBR Gets Another Iraq Contract!

UPI (Motto: "Yes, we're still around") is reporting that the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has awarded a "follow-on" contract to Houston's KBR (Halliburton) to continue work on a convoy supply camp in Iraq.

And why not?

It's not like KBR has senators demanding investigations into allegations that soldiers have been electrocuted in Iraq due to faulty KBR work.

It's not like the company faces accusations its Iraq employees are rapists, or engaging in male-on-male sexual harassment, or serving contaminated food and having dogs run around with human remains in their mouths.

Oh wait, it is like that.

Well, we're sure that at least KBR can be counted on to keep things within budget and not screw Uncle Sam. Right?
