Houstonian's Film Opens, Barely

Categories: Spaced City
When we spoke last week with Marc Adler, the Houstonian who was the man behind the animated film Delgo, he said he was on pins and needles waiting the box-office results.

The news is in, and it ain't good.

Despite being released on more than 2,100 screens, Delgo managed to bring in less than a million bucks in its opening weekend. That's a record low amount for a film that opened on at least 2,000 screens.

The Hollywood website Defamer has at it here and pretty much tells the tale.

It's a tough outcome for Adler, but no one said show business wasn't cruel.
