State School Board Member Cynthia Dunbar Still Bringing The Loony
That ended this fall, when an unhinged screed published by member Cynthia Dunbar (from Richmond!) became a blogosphere sensation.
The essay -- no longer available at the Christian site she wrote it for -- essentially argued Barack Obama was conspiring with terrorists to take over America, but there was still hope for us because he wasn't a citizen and thus could be prevented from taking office.
Now Dunbar's back in the news.
Unfair Park, the blog at our sister paper the Dallas Observer, takes a look at other literary output from Dunbar, specifically her book One Nation Under God: How The Left Is Trying To Erase What Made Us Great.
The Texas Freedom Network has posted a greatest-hits from the book, including this:
"Even if you question the accuracy of my constitutional interpretation as proof of the inappropriateness of a state-created, tax-payer supported school system, still the Scriptures bear witness to such an institution's lack of proper authority in the life of the Christian family," Dunbar writes (p. 102).
So who better to appoint to a board governing state-created, taxpayer-supported school systems?
