La Grange Hotel Liked Ike, AG Says

La Grange has been heretofore known mostly as the home of the fabled "Chicken Ranch" immortalized by ZZ Top and The Best Little Whorehouse In Texas.

Now it can be known as the home of The Most Heartless, Coldest Bastard of a Motel In Texas (Allegedly).

Texas AG Greg Abbott charged the Cottonwood Inn in La Grange today with overcharging people fleeing from Hurricane Ike.

"According to state investigators, the sign outside the Cottonwood Inn in La Grange advertised rooms for as low as $29.99. However, evidence obtained by the state indicates customers were actually charged $75 for their rooms," the AGs office says.

What, they've never heard of an "Ike Special"?

The motel's owners, Jagdish Jajal and Asha Jajal, face a pretty stiff penalty: up to $20,000 per violation and up to $250,000 per violation for victims over 65.

They better hope they didn't rip off too many old folks.
