Bill Clinton Coming to Town for Chris Bell

Over the recent years, a number of politicians (including Democrats) have distanced themselves from our former president, Bill Clinton, fearing his reputation would somehow rub off on them.

But Chris Bell, now running in a November 4 special election for Texas Senate in District 17, is made of tougher stuff than that. So next Monday, October 13, Clinton will headline a fundraiser for Bell, to be held at the home of attorney Arthur Schechter, the former ambassador and ex-Metro board chief.

Whatever you think of him, Clinton is renowned as a good (if somewhat long-winded) speaker capable of fielding questions on any variety of subjects.
