The Worrisome List Of The Missing
So far, the Center has located 85 people, but at this writing, over 300 are still listed as missing.
Bob Walcutt, the Center’s executive director, tells Hair Balls that doesn’t mean that all of those people were washed away.
“I’m assuming that a lot of these people are in shelters and just haven’t gotten in touch with their families for whatever reason,” he says. “I know we had several that were from nursing homes or assisted-living facilities that have been taken to San Antonio.”
Still, the length of the list is worrisome, especially since dozens of the people on it are far below retirement age.
