• I had planned on voting for McCain because of his willingness to cross party lines and work with the other side. But with Palin as his running mate I'm having second thoughts. She represents the Religious Right .And this bunch I have no use for.If McCain dies in office and she becomes President she will attempt to make America a theocracy.And this is the last thing we need.

• I believe it was also Ann Richards who coined the great line about George H.W. Bush having been born on third base and thinking he had hit a triple. Definte advantage to Richards. Plus Richards didn't need to go into hiding from the press.
