Downtown Streets Getting Crowded Again, And It Sucks

Categories: Hurricane Ike
Downtown has been a ghost town for a couple of days. It's coming back to life...unfortunately, just as crews are going full-bore on replacing windows and otherwise blocking streets.

Driving in the northern part of downtown is becoming even more agita-inducing than usual. Broken traffic lights, blocked lanes, idiot drivers not accustomed to dealing with such things, makes for a less-than-merry trip.

It's not as bad as some of the horror tales we heard out of Baton Rouge in the weeks after Gustav. But then again, the fun's not over yet.
