That Strange Katrina-Refugee Kidnapping Story Takes Another Step

An Amber Alert was issued, but now Tavey has returned to Houston from Dallas and been arrested.
From the DA's office:
Tavey, accused of kidnapping five children, has been arrested in Houston, Texas this afternoon. The five missing Alphonse children (ages 3-8) appear to be in good health and are being transported to a local Children's Protective Services facility, in accordance with standard procedure.If convicted, Tavey could face 2-10 years in prison and up to a $10,000 fine. Her cases will be presented in the 262nd District Court.
Tavey has said the kids' mother was a drug abuser who could no longer provide a good home.
This is an ugly one; we hope it works out for the kids' sake.
