HISD Decides Not To Decide About CEP

The school district had a deadline of August 15 to notify CEP whether they planned to renew the contract. Or to drop it, like the Dallas and Pasadena districts have.
So what did HISD do? They punted.
"The deadline for the decision on the contract was extended to January 15," says HISD spokesman Terry Abbott.
Why?
"The district wants more time to review the matter," Abbott says.
Seems reasonable. CEP's only been working with HISD for more than 10 years.
