Houston Dissed, A Continuing Saga

Fri Jul 18, 2008 at 11:12:36 AM
What is it about Houston that makes Washington-area media go stupid?

Yesterday it was USA Today, raving about all the terrific stuff to do here. Including, according to a picture, The Texas Cyclone at Astroworld, which has been an empty lot for years.

Today it's the Washington Independent, in an article called "The New Boom Towns."

The article is accompanied by a large picture with the caption "Dallas, home of Exxon-Mobile, has seen job growth while the economy takes a downward turn."

It shows a picture of Houston's skyline.

But maybe it makes sense, in whatever world spells ExxonMobil with an e at the end.
