Could You Do It In a Smart Car?

Fri Jul 11, 2008 at 06:04:13 AM
I’m starting to spot Smart Cars around town. Driving down Montrose, parked in the lot at my local Y.

They’re so cute, but I’m wondering…

Could you do it in a Smart Car?

I mean, they have great gas mileage (40 city/45 highway), they’re remarkably affordable (they start at $11,590), and they’re better for the environment than most vehicles (so lay off, Al Gore).

But can you do it in a Smart Car?

There’s no back seat, is there? No, there’s not. So that kills that classic car sex thrill of backseatin’ it. But I suppose it’s still possible, right? Does anyone out there know?

According to the Web site, here are the car’s dimensions:

The car available in the United States is:

* 8.8 feet long (you can usually fit two in an average parking space!)

* 5.1 feet tall (as much headroom as most luxury vehicles!)

* 5.1 feet wide (two six foot, five inch plus people can sit side by side with plenty of shoulder room to spare!)

But what if you don’t want to spare that shoulder room? What if you want to get dirty nasty crazy in your Smart Car? What if you want to go up to Lover’s Lane (or the Disco Kroger parking lot at three in the morning) and get buck wild in your Smart Car?

And let’s say you could. Would it even be comfortable?

Seriously, let Miss Pop Rocks know. Can you do it in a Smart Car? Now, please don’t go breaking any laws of public decency on my behalf, but just lemme know. Because I’m curious. – Jennifer Mathieu

Sounds Miss Pop Rocks has never done it in the front seat before, eh?

1983 Civic; that's all I am going to say.

Sharon says:

Mine was a 1980 Honda Civic - the tiny one, the Silkwood car - but it could be done. The smart car can't be too much smaller than that.

Jessica says:

Does the steering wheel tilt? That makes a world of difference.

MPR, lets meet at the dealership for a test drive.

Speaking from personal experience, yes you can do it in a Smart Car. You are pretty close to eachother to begin with so it is a good start for flirty touching. My wife and I have done it two times so far...last night in the Greenwich village. I think it is legal in NYC to do it in any car, so as long as you keep up with your yoga classes you can make it happen.

Honda S2000 2 seat convertible, with top up, and VW Beetle front seat. I'd say Smart car definitely possible.

Turn the airbags off though! :)

Hey the passenger set folds down, so have at it

MPR, I have a Mazda5. I'll be parked in the lot adjacent to JR's Saturday night. Wanna see what Zoom Zoom is really about?

Having driven one of these, I think it would be hard, but some things in life are worth suffering for and extra points for difficulty! I can verify that it is functionally possible, although if you are doing it in a smart, you might as well be doing it on the street.

Honda Prelude front seat. Not comfy lol.

Ask your cousin and get back to me.

For those of you that HAVE done it already, try doing it while driving. That's waaaay more fun. Girl on top of course(tell her to keep her shoulder out of your line of sight). I would recommend waiting until dark though, especially if you're driving into town on 290 after an A&M game lets out. We may have frightened some children and pissed off some parents(no tint on the windows. Some of the best I've ever had nonetheless.
