The Google guys top the list at number one, followed by several other Web celebrities, including Steve Jobs (Apple, #2), Jimmy Wales (Wikipedia, #5), Craig Newmark (Craigslist, #7) and Chad Hurley and Steve Chen (YouTube, #10).
And lo, sitting at number 16 on the list is Houston's own Matt Mullenweg, star of this Houston Press feature by resident babe Associate Editor Catherine Matusow. Mullenweg is a developer for WordPress, the blogging software responsible for countless posts about breakfast, cats and politics. Not to mention posts about the 50 Most Important People on the Web. — Keith Plocek
