Getting Tagged at Houston's Airports

Ever gotten back from a long trip and not had the money to pay parking at the airport? Starting March 30 if you've got an EZ TAG on your car, you'll be able to use that to pay at either Hobby or George Bush Intergalactic. Now there will be special EZ-TAG-only lines you can zip through at the airports, just like you do on the toll road thanks to the combined efforts of the Harris County Toll Road Authority and the Houston Airport System. As Rick Vacar, HAS director, put it: "This new system not only speeds up the exiting process but also requires less manpower." And in more boilerplate from the official announcement:

"HCTRA EZ account customers with vehicles displaying a TAG and using a credit card for EZ account transactions can begin using the new service on March 30. All information about the airport parking program is available at www.eztagstore.com. EZ account patrons not wanting to use the service may opt out by accessing their on-line EZ account at www.eztagstore.com or by calling (281) 875-3279. The credit card associated with the EZ account, and not the EZ account balance, will be charged for all parking fees. EZ accounts charged to a debit card are not eligible for the airport parking service." — Margaret Downing
