The end of the year saw plenty of news roundups, where the biggest and most crotch-revealing stories of 2006 were recapped and ranked.
But these retreads aren't enough for the folks at Project Censored, who've released the Top 25 Censored Stories of 2007.
We're all for shining light on underreported stories — hell, bring out the floodlights — but we do have to wonder why the site has lists for 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2007, but nothing for 2006. Perhaps last year's list was censored. Or something.
But anyway, quite a few of the items are worth a look, and numbers 2, 14 and 24 all have local appeal. (Here's a hint: Halliburton.)
