The great poet and dandy T.S. Eliot said April was the cruelest month. He might've been right — although Astros fans have always loathed that bastard month of October — but today is the cruelest day of the year, according to a British psychologist named Cliff Arnall.

Call it the perfect storm of suckitude. Most people are still broke from Christmas. It's cold outside. And those New Year's resolutions — well, how's that going for you?
