Anyone Out There Looking for a Sign?

For the last couple of months, there's been a hand-painted sign at the corner of West Gray and Taft, letting "our defenders" know they are "not alone."

We'll take a wild guess and assume it has something to do with all the controversy surrounding the new campus for the High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, which is being built on the lot behind the sign, but we really don't know.

Perhaps it's an expression of solidarity with those fighting gentrification in the Fourth Ward. Or maybe a way of supporting our troops overseas. Or even a reference to Marvel Comics.

Anyone out there have any other ideas? Hit up the comments section and show us what you got. — Keith Plocek
