You can get gooey, egg-topped cheese enchiladas all day long at our No. 3 pick.
3. Mi Sombrero Saturday and Sunday 7 a.m. to close

Great news, non-morning people! On Saturdays and Sundays, this old-school Tex-Mex café serves breakfast all day long. That means you can take down gooey and cheesy breakfast enchiladas, huevos rancheros, and chorizo con huevo tacos (on handmade tortillas) no matter what time you roll out of bed. Lunchier offerings like menudo and caldo de res -- a Mexican beef stew that is a weekend special -- are sure to aid your hangover, as are the agave wine margaritas.

Our No. 2 pick's dark and funky dining room is the perfect place to rid yourself of a hangover.
2. Shepherd Park Draught House Saturday and Sunday 10 a.m. to 3. p.m.

Any brunch entrée -- from a Shipley's glazed "donut waffle" and over-stuffed breakfast burrito to spicy sausage, biscuits, and grits -- can be had for $8 at this popular brewhouse. And for another $6, you can sip on on bellinis, mimosas, and sake bloody Marys by the pint. They had us doughnut waffle.

Absolutely. The egg, potato, and bacon breakfast taco with red and green salsa at Frida's is the new benchmark.

Gamel Hem - I'll try some of the ones I haven't been to. But CB is a non return after almost getting into it with a muscle head. Who quickly backed off when I wasn't intimidated --

I disagree with Frida's being on this list... strongly...

I thought the same thing. And they are are translucent due to all the grease. But for some reason Houston Press writers seem to think putting scrambled eggs on greasy flour tortillas is something special.
