French toast at Happy Fatz is almost as good as a hot dog.
Happy Fatz
It may seem like a strange notion to combine hot dogs and a bakery under one roof, but why not, when you do both of them well? Happy Fatz has embraced its dual concept, cooking up awesome dogs as well as cheap and delicious breakfast sandwiches and tacos and decadent challah French toast with eggs and bacon for only $7. Of course, the best thing to get at Happy Fatz combines the best that the spot has to offer: A dog topped with two eggs in a Slow Dough bun.

Migas is the most important meal of the day at La Guadalupana.
La Guadalupana
I wouldn't consider La Guadalupana underrated personally, but I do agree that it makes one of the best (all day) breakfasts in town. Part restaurant, part bakery, the tiny space not only makes excellent palmiers and croissants, but also a mean breakfast torta, large enough to feed two. Also try the migas and the simple breakfast tacos, all of which come with wonderfully spicy homemade salsa.

I know right? It's like, yeah we're an advertising rag. We aren't even pretending to represent Houston.

Out of all the great restaurants in Houston, you include Waffle House on this list? It's a chain diner. Really?

I'm more than happy with a dozen donuts, cronuts or croissants. Protein is for lunch and dinner.

Harry's Cafe....fun to see which famous Houstonians you'll spot there. And the food is good.

I would make a suggestion, but nobody considers anything outside of the loop to be "Houston" much-less outside of the beltway, so why bother?

@jensen True, but I don't think anyone would consider Harry's underrated.
