The fantastic brunch is just one of the many reasons people flock to our No. 1 spot.
1. Down House Saturday and Sunday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

This cozy neighborhood spot is the kind of place you want to linger. Especially once you dig into their down home comfort food. Feeling ravenous? Dig into scratch-made biscuits and sausage gravy or a kimchi-topped burger. Want to go light? Try the housemade yogurt, complete with berry jam, maple syrup and walnut granola.

Whatever you do, grab a cup of coffee or a couple of brunch cocktails. It's a dry area, but sign up for the free club membership and that Big Ol' Bloody Mary is all yours.

Wanted to get in at Liberty Kitchen for their Happy Hour breakfast, but slept in. We got in around 11, and it was great!! Always just had it for dinner. Glad we tried if for brunch :)

Rainbow Lodge is amazing. Go for Buffalo Short Rib grilled cheese or 'short-rib benedict. My wife likes the lumb crabmeat omelet. More fun than stuffy, with the most beautiful gardens and setting in the city.

Great list! All of the places mentioned are suggestions I give others when asked about where to go for brunch in that area. As for Liberty Kitchen's happy hour breakfast menu, it's worth getting up early for, although I do cave in and order off the regular breakfast menu too. If it's a special occasion or I'm in the mood to splurge, Glass Wall and Rainbow Lodge are top picks of mine too.
