There's still time to get tickets for our most delicious event of the year.
Wow, what a week it's been for Menu of Menus®. Fifteen new restaurants signed up to join us on April 8 (that's next Tuesday) from 7 to 10 p.m. at Silver Street Station for food, drinks and the epic Iron Fork competition.

BB's Cafe will be on hand, no doubt serving up delicious Cajun-style fare, as will J.W.'s Original Cajun Boudin Hut.

If Latin food is more your speed, Peruvian restaurant
La Guitarra con Sazón will be joining us, along with Trenza, a Latin American/Indian fusion restaurant from celebrity chef Susie Jimenez. Also bringing some South American flair to the mix is Batanga, a tapas restaurant featuring Spanish and Latin cuisine. Batanga won't be the only tapas joint in the house, though; we'll also have Andalucia providing more traditional Spanish bites.

Tokyohana will bring Japanese food to the event, and so will newcomer Fish & the Knife, which is already getting great reviews from local food bloggers.

For many, it will be a first time to meet Ripe Cafe when chef/owner Stephanie Hobin brings her healthy food out of local farmers' markets and into Menu of Menus. Cafe Pita + will also be bringing its own brand of healthy(ish) Mediterranean food to the mix.

Like Ripe Cafe, Zelko Bistro's chef, Jamie Zelko, is committed to using healthy, local ingredients in her cooking, which she'll be showing off for the crowd. So, too, will Heights General Store, another new restaurant dedicated to "fresh, natural and locally-sourced items."

On two completely different ends of the spectrum, Afghan Village and Allô French Rotisserie will be sampling cuisine from the Middle East and the middle of Provence.

And lest you think we forgot about those of you with a sweet tooth, Oui Desserts will be joining us with the prettiest little pastries you ever did see.

If you haven't gotten tickets yet, there's still time. Go online and use the code FOODIE14 to get $10 off general admission tickets.

Oh, and start working out now. You're going to need all the strength (and pre-burned calories) you can muster to make it through a night of sampling from nearly 50 of Houston's best restaurants.

Damn! Some sweet additions....good to hear as I bought my tix last week.

I've heard that the Fish & Knife booth at Menu of Menus will be designed by I.M. Pei, with special guest chef Nobu cutting the fish and plating it himself.

@Robb I recall they were recently dubbed Houston's best burger by Robb Walsh, not the same Robb is it?

@Ybarra  Haha no comment. But Fish & the Knife is a great spot with lovely people who I recently had the pleasure of sitting next to at a dinner elsewhere. Really nice folks!
