This burger from Listos got A LOT of votes during the initial call for comments.
Last week we were seeking burger inspiration from you, dear readers. In an effort to expand our burger horizons, we wanted to know what you felt were the most underrated burgers in Houston. Hopefully yours, too, will be expanded in the process.

We received hundreds of responses on the blog and on social media, which is awesome. Clearly you folks are passionate about your beef! In order to narrow down the top five most underrated burgers in Houston, we've put together a handy poll. Check it out and vote on your favorite option.

This poll is slightly different than the last one we conducted for underrated restaurants. You get one vote only, so use it wisely. If you need to go out and try every burger on the list, I recommend you do so. That's the only way to be objective, right?

The poll will close at 11:59 p.m. on Friday, March 28. Look for the results the following week.

Thanks for voting!

The problem with this is that there needs to be a distinction between the classic fast food style and the more contemporary "gourmet" burger. There are several gourmet burgers that I love but I will always stand by the fast food variety. One thing I like about Mytiburger is that you can have one and not feel like you're gonna pass out for the rest of the afternoon.

Glad Mytiburger made it on the list.  I really like the owner really affable guy replies to his yelp reviews and is in touch with his business, keeps their quality consistent. And the burgers and rings are my favorite totally worth the drive out from downtown.

How can the winner of last years burger bracket be underrated now?

I agree.  I would take "underrated" to indicate a place that does not get the recognition it might deserve.

@chaz0717  I'm just going by reader submissions. If you guys think it's underrated, it's on the list :)

It IS indeed possible for something that's very good to be underrated, even if it's had some recognition in the past.

@Bruce_Are @chaz0717 I never knew they even served burgers until the bracket. Nor do I see them mentioned on most forums when asking about burgers in Houston. To me that could signal something is underrated or not even known about.

Sorry to burst a bubble!

I was referring to Tookies.  As for Listo's, whether they're overrated or not I do not know.
