Nara recently debuted a lunch menu with Korean classics like these seafood pancakes. Check out the restaurant at Menu of Menus.
The 12th annual Menu of Menus food and wine extravaganza is coming up, on April 8, and we're more excited than ever about the wonderful restaurants that have committed to attending and serving samples of their delicious food.

You wanted Korean food, and you got it! Nara will be joining us and sampling some of its upscale Korean/Japanese cuisine. The West Ave restaurant just launched a new lunch menu, so it's possible that we will find ourselves sampling from that at the event.

Another new restaurant, 60 Degrees Mastercrafted, will also be at Menu of Menus. The restaurant -- which describes itself as "ranch-to-table" -- opened this past November and features a $200 burger with ribeye, foie gras and white truffle. That probably won't be what they bring to sample at the event, but a girl can dream.

Joining the two newcomers are Sorrel Urban Bistro, one of my favorite brunch spots in town, and Ciao Bello, my undisputed top spot for pasta and Italian food in Houston. Chef Bobby Matos's inventive takes on classic dishes never cease to delight.

For the loess of pizza, we're bringing in Pepperoni's, a pizza chain owned by Ray Salti, who also owns Sorrel Urban Bisto (so you know it's good).

Most recently, we've confirmed that Niko Niko's, a Houston institution since 1977, will be at the event sampling its classic Greek-American cuisine. The owner, Dimitri Fetokakis, has assured us he'll be bringing Mediterranean pastries galore, and to pair with them, he's convinced Katz Coffee to supply an espresso bar.

We're signing up new restaurants every day, so keep checking back to see if your favorite is coming to Menu of Menus. We'll also be giving away two more VIP tickets to the event sometime next week. Keep an eye out for that.

As a reminder, Menu of Menus 2014 will take place at Silver Street Station on April 8 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Tickets are on sale online now, and they usually sell out, so get yours as soon as possible.

Thanks for sharing your ideas for the best restaurants! My wife and I love to try new places, so it will be fun to go to some new restaurants in the coming weeks. I'm hoping we will find some new favorites since we tend to go to the same places every month. We'll see if any stand out from the rest!

Wow! Knockout line-up and there are more to come, right? I think I remember there being about 45-50 restaurants, fun event, but kind of hot...maybe a short skirt is in order this year.

@vandalia  We've heard that too, but we can't write about places in these posts until we have all their info confirming participation. Check out our final post next week :)
