Bare Bowls uses the freshest ingredients possible from local vendors and farmers to create a variety of bowls, salads and sandwiches. Make your way through seven wineries during the Wine & Chocolate Trail on either Saturday or Sunday. This is the final weekend for the wine and chocolate tasting event, so be sure to buy your tickets as soon as possible. For $30 per ticket, or $50 per couple, you'll receive a 12-ounce commemorative wine glass to use at the wineries: Bernhardt Winery, Cork This! Winery, Messina Hof Winery & Resort, Pleasant Hill Winery, Peach Creek Winery, Saddlehorn Winery and Windy Winery. At each stop you will enjoy a welcoming taste, followed by a chocolate treat paired with another wine. Enjoy a Tex-Mex chocolate cake with Aggie Blush from Bernhardt Winery, chocolate cobbler with "Alcoholiday" Peach Apricot Chardonnay from Cork This!, a dark chocolate jalapeño truffle with Solera Sherry from Messina Hof, a blond port brownie with Portejas Blanco from Pleasant Hill, slow-roasted chicken and rice with chocolate mole sauce paired with Valiente from Peach Creek, Texas Two Step Black Spanish Port and Madeira Brownie with Black Spanish Port from Saddlehorn, and finally, chocolate panna cotta with Tejas Port Wine sauce paired with Independence, dry Lenoir from Windy Winery. It's a chocolate- and wine-lover's paradise.

For $30 in advance, or $40 at the door (free if you're a Flock member), you'll get to sip on Bloody Marys and other morning cocktails, enjoy Saint Arnold beer, fill up on yummy brunch dishes and explore The Houston Zoo. The 5th Annual Beastly Brunch begins at 11 a.m. and will feature a variety of animal interactions. This year's event will be inside the Brown Education Center to keep everyone warm. There's a baby elephant on the way, and it could be born by Sunday.
